ERO Robot Crushes Buildings and Recycles Their Concrete

ERO-Concrete-Recycling-Robot-2

ERO Concrete Deconstruction Robot 2Engineering is not only about creating new things, it is also about disposing off of the older things as well. We need smart disposal to reduce the waste and therefore one cannot ignore the recycling process. Clean and efficient disposal of waste and recycling of materials is becoming the talk of the day. We all know how human race is running low on natural reserves, so obviously if you can recycle and use then why not do it!
ERO Concrete Deconstruction Robot 3What caught our attention was the fact that building tall towers is being done quite efficiently and is taking place and every now and then. That is good, but what about when you need to demolish them? Here’s a fact; they don’t fall efficiently at all. This is where the engineering kicks in. In order to tackle the waste and come up with better means of building demolition an industrial designer, Omer Haciomeroglu, has created what is being called as ERO concrete deconstruction robot.
ERO Concrete Deconstruction Robot 4Well, no doubt, that using robotics for such a task is a brilliant idea! It is safer and will be much more efficient. However, it is the deconstruction methodology which ERO concrete deconstruction robot uses and how it manages waste which makes it so much special. In words of Omer; ‘ERO is a Concrete Deconstruction Robot designed to disassemble reinforced concrete structures and enable the building materials to be re-used for new prefabricated concrete buildings.’
ERO Concrete Deconstruction Robot 5He further stated that in order to dispose-off the hardened concrete which is the most important construction material, the ERO ‘uses water jets to crack the concrete surface to disassemble concrete and sucks up the mixed debris. It cleanly separates the waste mixture and packages the cleaned material. What was previously waste, now turns into labeled packaged asset to be transferred right away into concrete pre-casting stations to be re-molded into new building blocks.’

Such inventions are sure handy and should be acknowledged and given their due importance. We congratulate Omer and hope that he would work towards making his invention more effective and efficient.

Guys Makes Lamborghini Aventador For Just 500 Dollars

1

Taras Lesko from Seattle has built a mind-blowing replica of the Lamborghini Aventador solely out of printing paper and cardboard. However, he is not new to such ingenious builds. In year 2010, he made a jaw-dropping 4-foot-tall Freedom Gundam and the very next year he made an even impressive 7-foot tall Gundam. In its building process, he cut 720 pages into 1250 shapes. After that he took a two years break. Only very recently, he has made Lamborghini Aventador sports car from paper and cardboard which looks amazingly real. He first designed all its parts on computer softwares such as Abode Photoshop, Illustrator and AfterEffects, printed them on several paper sheets and then used an X-Acto knife to cut those parts accurately. Next he wanted his vehicle to roam around easily. To achieve this, he used chipboard to make its frame. The vehicle weighs just 11.3 kilograms.

Taras used architectural E2 paper sheets for printing and hence named his Lamborghini Aventador A-E2. The measurements of vehicle are 244 x 115 x 63 cm and these days the car is placed on a wall inside his house. The following photo shows different printed parts of Lamborghini Aventador.

And once the parts were assembled…

Skyscraper Literally Melts A Car In England

Wouldn’t you have hated it if you parked your car next to a gleaming skyscraper only to find hours later that the same skyscraper had melted your car by converging the sunlight? That is what happened to one unfortunate Jaguar Owner, Mr Martin Linsday when he parked his shiny new black Jaguar next to the newly constructed 37 storey skyscraper.

Dubbed as the “Walkie Talkie” due to its unique shape, the skyscraper has a bend in its Facade which makes the whole building act as a converging mirror. The street opposite to the skyscraper now bears the brunt of upto 70 degree celsius of concentrated sunlight.

So when Mr Martin parked his car that morning, he had no idea that such a thing could happen and ruin his car. The story of him finding about the “accident” is also pretty interesting. A photographer who was walking around the area noticed the car in bad shape. He casually went upto a stranger who was standing on the footpath and said ” Have you seen that car? The owner wont be happy”. The stranger remarked, ” Well, I am the owner and thats pretty awful”. The windscreen had a note beneath the wiper which was from the construction company that is constructing the skyscraper. It read ” Your Car’s Buckled, Could you please give us a call?”.

This incident has sparked a new debate on the viability of the skyscraper design as it has started to effect the life of commuters on the street. With temperatures soaring upto 80 degree celsius, this could also cause serious burns to some unsuspecting passer by. Therefore, the construction company is now planning to modify the design of the building.
Nevertheless, the Jaguar of this unlucky owner is ruined and it must have felt awful. Check out some of the pictures of the car and the youtube video below.
